isn’t that just the way things go? June 16, 2006
So my internet connection has been down since Wednesday. I assumed it was a problem with my modem since it was unable to send or receive signals and wasn’t lighting up correctly. I finally have time to call Time Warner today and I sit there on hold for over an hour until I have to hang up to go to work. I call back several hours laters when I’m done with work, talk to someone. They tell me they can send someone out tomorrow morning. I get off the phone, clean up a bit, then notice that all the lights on my modem are blinking correctly. I shut down my computer, unplug my modem and router, and boot back up in the proper order, and, sure enough, everything works fine. The thing that gets me is that Time Warner assured me that service was not out in my area, but it obviously was since my modem is working fine. I mean, I’m happy to have the internet back, but I wish it could have happened in a more convenient way. I guess I need to call them back and tell them not to come in the morning.
But isn’t that how it always goes? Just as soon as you find a solution the problem fixes itself.
