Took the month of January off from leading worship, but I was glad to be back this morning. Here’s what we played…
- All Who Are Thirsty (the Kutless version, transposed to the key of D so I could sing it)
- Sweetly Broken – Jeremy Riddle
- Surrender
- Till I See You – Hillsong United
- Jesus, Lord of Heaven – Phil Wickham
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about worship lately. Perhaps I’ll blog it soon.

- Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus (a version I stumbled upon on YouTube, found here)
- Here I Am to Worship
- Oh, the Wonder of it All
- Oh Come, Oh Come Emmanuel (the Third Day version…lots of fun to play)

Rushing Wind blow through this temple
Blowing out the dust within
Come and breathe Your breath upon me
I’ve been born again
Holy Spirit, I surrender
Take me where you want to go
Plant me by Your living waters
Plant me deep so I can grow
Separate me from this world, Lord
Sanctify my life for You
Daily change me to Your image
Help me bear good fruit
Everyday You’re drawing closer
Trials come to test my faith
But when all is said and done, Lord
It’s been worth the wait.
Jesus, You’re the One
Who set my spirit free
Use me, Lord
Glorify Your Holy Name through me

If anyone is interested, my piano students are having a recital this coming Monday night (Nov. 17th) at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in downtown Apex. Should be a good show.

I finally got my students’ recital scheduled. It’s going to be on Monday, May 21st at 6:30 PM. If you’re potentially interested in attending, please send me a message and I’ll give you further details.

Tonight we finished round 2 of my students’ piano recitals. Both nights went incredibly well, but I am so ready to have the rest of the week off. I don’t think I’ve taken a week off since Christmas. But all of my students did an amazing job, and, possibly more importantly, all the parents were very impressed. I finally caved in and played a piece on this year’s recital, so now all my parents know that I’m actually a competent musician and not just some kid who decided she would give this piano lessons thing a try. I suppose the fact that I have 35 students speaks some to that as well.
So no more work (until Monday). Laziness, here I come!
